Hey Lovelies, It’s Lola Chél!

So this July I'm doing something different. I know I always give you all some #shootstyle every Wednesday on the LolaChel.com blog. If you want to catch up on what you've missed this year just click here. Well, I want to take it a step further and really introduce you to some of the summer trends that are going on for 2019. But first, let me start you off with a little story...

When I'm out and about living a model life in South Florida there are many times where I actually stop to appreciate the clothing women wear. Most of the time the best outfits to me involve some type of neutral. It could be a woman wearing a cream-colored bodycon dress, or fashionable lady wearing a tan ribbed crop top, or even a fellow model slaying and all white shorts set. No matter who it's on neutrals tends to give a clean summer vibe and seemed to go perfectly with any style of clothing at any type of venue.

Then something happens at night, you step out onto South Beach or Lincoln Road or even to a local party and you are instantly bombarded with neon. So much Neon! We're talking neon pink, neon green- which also looks like neon yellow but there is a stark difference, the list goes on! It almost seems like the neon trend is a nighttime frenzy but then I'll go to certain day events where lo and behold neon pieces are there as well!

This is what brings me to today's article. I want to know what you think is the top trend of 2019. The two contenders are neutral and neon. Neons

First up are Neons! This bright palate has been seen everywhere from Instagram to the red carpet. This trend crept in late Spring of this year and has really taken off for the Summer portion of this season. Whether in swimwear, club wear, athletic wear, even everyday wear - neon has become a staple in everyone’s closet. Kinda makes me regret dumping my neon biker shorts a few months ago! Remember kiddies- if the 80’s have taught us nothing else it’s that: everything comes back in style.

Neutrals

Now that we have a good understanding of Neons it’s time to switch into a more classic lane. Neutrals have always found a place in our closets. From our summer basics to our spring pastels everyone has some type of neutral toned clothing. Well over the last few months neutrals have emerged as a staple in statement making fashion. It allows brands and babes alike to focus on the cut and fit of a piece instead of pinning different patterns and colors on the same framed pieces. I’ve listed some of my favorite Neutral pieces this summer below - check them out!
