What Inspired You To Start Modeling? (And did you start at the same time?)

Delcia:: Tyra banks show “ America’s Next Top Model was one of the reasons Alia and I started to model. We were fans since middle school when the first season started and will be tuning back in this year when Ms.Banks returns. The other inspiration would be our mother always taking photos of the family. We enjoy every moment, never hide away from the camera and we definitely started at the same time. 2014 is when we took it more seriously and created our first IG together

Alia: We naturally got the talent from our mother, who wanted to be a model when she was young. Also, from watching Tyra banks show America’s Next Top Model. We started the same time in 2014.

Who Is Your Idol (Or Idols) In Modeling?

Delcia:: My mother is my number one idol because she is so creative and artistic. My mother always wanted to be a model but unfortunately, it never happened when she was younger. Currently, she is working on her own modeling journey and I’m glad she is because your never to old to finish what you started and I believe she has what it takes. She’s very photogenic and I really appreciate her so much because she never forced us into modeling we naturally had it in us. My mother is my supporter she will always motivate us on set, help us create a visual, and give great advice. She’s not only my mom but my teacher, caregiver, and best friend.

Alia: Our idol for modeling is Tyra Banks because of her positive energy and helping other girls pursue their modeling dreams.

Has Anyone Ever Worked With One Of You Without The Other?

Delcia:: Yes indeed.  Last month I did a solo hair tutorial video for SheaMoisture, the original plan was to have both of us but unfortunately, Alia had work the next day. Majority of our work is together because that’s what most creative individuals want us to do, but change is good and we don’t mind. We actually want to tackle a new challenge and that is doing solo projects in the future.

Alia: Yes, recently Delcia was featured in a Shea Moisture hair video tutorial. We told each other that no matter what, we will support one another.

Do You Find It Hard To Stand Out Individually?

Delcia:: I sometimes find it hard to stand out individually because we are identical twins who happen to like almost everything alike but a majority of the time I don’t just because I realize we are brought into this world to showcase who we are together. I appreciate knowing the fact I have a reflection by my side each and every day. I don’t get annoyed or bothered if someone says, “Why are you two always together?”, because they don’t understand we are best friends. I’ve discovered the older we get the more I see our differences and that’s a beautiful thing to be aware of because eventually, we will move on with our lives where she and I could do solo gigs with our modeling journey and eventually have a family of our own one day

Alia: No, because tend to like and do similar projects and activities. Also, photographers prefer to take photos of us together. Moreover, I believe that it's healthy and important to learn to work separately because we are getting older and starting to have different interest.

Is Your Drive/Passion The Same As When You Started Modeling? Why Or Why Not?

Delcia:: My passion has changed these last three years because my confidence has been growing. I’m slowly breaking out of my shyness ... opening up more to others before they decide to approach me.... being in front of the lens and expressing more with my angles. Most importantly reminding myself that modeling makes me happy and so I should continue to practice and to keep being an inspiration for others. Alia and I are art waiting to be viewed and talked about.

Alia: My passion is the same and I became more confident since the move to New York. I hope to stay consistent and focused on my modeling journey.

What Was Your Best Modeling Experience/Memory?

Delcia:: Recently, flying out to Florida to work for hair care “Creme of Nature”

Alia: The best experience was a shoot where we were able to showcase our signature movements and that was the beginning of everything.

What Was Your Worst Modeling Experience/Memory?

Delcia:: So far so good we haven’t had any "worst experiences" but here and there we encounter lateness and an unorganized set. Usually I myself try to remain positive and open-minded about certain situations

Alia: The worst would be when a photo shoot is unorganized and unprofessional. For example, I don't like when they expect the models to bring everything like, the clothes, hair done, makeup done, when we actually only need to bring ourselves.
