Sam Stan + Friends : Happy Raps

On the second Friday of June I was invited out by The Urban Play (IG: @theurbanplay) to one of the waviest nights of young creatives Happy Raps. Sam Stan (IG: @samstanmusic) and Friends shut down C&I Studios near downtown Fort Lauderdale for a night filled with music, poetry, vibes, songs, and of course raps! There was a cookie here and there but the sweetest part of the night had to be the atmosphere all together. You had various forms of audible expression taking place through out the night and whether you were moved by melodic songs, captivated by tunes, or just enjoying the talented lyricists you were sure to have a good time.

I wasn't expecting to but I saw some talent that was close to my heart at Happy Raps. Among them was poet Sheesh (IG: @chunckysheesh) a super talented young lady who I've had the pleasure of working along side several times. Another creative to be on the look out for is Noelle Rose. She is young singer who I've seen perform at an exclusive event at Muse0 in Wynwood and was pleased to see on the roster.

Now as far as fresh faces that I enjoyed (that would really be everyone) I have to say Asaiah (IG: @asaiahziv) & Nate (IG: @Natequest). They were two very needed breaths of fresh air both hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada. Asaiah had selections ranging from hype crowd-raving anthems to mellow thought-provoking tracks. Nate was more of a rhythmic lyricists and paired well with the Dr. Dre inspired beats that often played behind him. They even performed a collab together during the night with another Las Vegas native Nick Crucial. (IG: @nickcrucial).

After that night I'm actually looking forward to what Sam Stan + Friends have in store for us. Be on the look out for the artists mentioned you are sure to see them again.
