What Inspired You To Start Modeling?

Honestly, I did it to please everyone. I got tired of people telling me I’m so tall, I should model. I was extremely shy at the time because I had low self-esteem but being very athletic caused me to take on the challenge…. I am so glad I did.

What Other Doors Has Modeling Opened Up For You?

Modeling changed my life; it chose me, I did not choose It. Modeling opened me up to face the world, with the good, the bad and the ugly.  I was more comfortable as a tomboy, so it helped me embrace my feminine side and become comfortable in my own skin.  As I grew and opened up, I allowed myself try the different divisions of modeling which also allowed me to model international and mature in the craft.

Is Your Drive/Passion The Same As When You Started Modeling? Why Or Why Not?

I grow daily so nothing stays the same LOL… My passion is different now. I’m more passionate about helping others and seeing them shine and grow than I am pleasing others, being accepted or being the center of attention.

What Are Your Goals For Modeling (Agency signing? Starting your own agency? Other?) And Have You Reached Any Of Them?

- Inspire others to love the skin they are in by sharing my story (Mentorship)

- Spokes model for a major brand, which will land me a billboard, bus advertisement or cover of a major magazine

- Hosting a television show or becoming a television correspondent

Outside Of Modeling Are There Any Ventures You Are Trying To Take?

Modeling opened so many doors. I have been able to brand myself as an individual and also brand. I’ve marketed myself as a Merchandise Enhancer; using my educational and life experiences to help build brands by filling in the gaps where they need it with product placement, business consulting, PR and Promotions to name a few.  My description of a Merchandise enhancer is  the secret weapon on your team to fill in the gaps, tie up the loose ends and/or enhance your product, project, business or life!”

I have also been able to have a platform to promote, educate and celebrate my culture and the continent of Africa as a whole. This led me to start my company Latam Wic. It started out with providing and educating individuals about the lifestyle of head wrapping and has now expanded with the “Soulful Thoughts”, journals made with authentic African fabrics.

Each journal is perfectly imperfect but made with Lots Of Love. The journals are sold in sets mainly in hopes that the buyers can gift one to a young person and encourage them to use it as a gratitude journal, using them to write 3-5 things that they are grateful for daily and hold each other accountable. This way we each can help alter the mindset of our youth and teach them about the power/magic of writing while owning a piece of Africa.

What Was Your Best Modeling Experience/Memory?

There are so many to name but if I have to choose one, it would have to be closing the Ankara Miami Fashion Week for Designer Marquita Moore of Wamuiru Couture

What Was Your Worst Modeling Experience/Memory?

Doing a Show in for NYFC (will not name) with 100 models. It was very unorganized, extremely long and nowhere near professional. It was a total waste of everyone’s time including the audience however, there were a lot of great connections built from the experience.

If Or When You Leave The Modeling World What Do You Hope To Leave As Your Legacy?

I want people to know I gave it my all and I did everything I could to unite, encourage and motivate others.  But most importantly I want others to say “because of Adoch I kept going, I didn’t give up, and I will use the gift God gave me to bless others. “

If You Could Sum Up Your Modeling Experience In Three Words, What Would They Be?

Hurry-Up and Wait LOL

What's Your Favorite Quote?

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”  - Philippians 4:13
